Description
Wire rope thimbles are designed to enhance the wire rope lifespan by preventing fraying
and friction between the rope and other rigging hardware.
We have several material of thimbles per below:
Stainless steel timbles are used in ourdoor applications where a high resistence to rust is needed,
they are ideal for near saltwater enviroment, and they are often used together with stainless steel cable or chain.
Hot dip galvanized timbles and zinc plated thimbles are also used outdoors, but the environment needs to be as much humidity as the environment where
stainless steel timbles used in.
Accroding to duty, our wire rope thimbles can be divided into light duty thimbles and heavy duty timbles.
Light duty thimbles are usually used in situations where much load is not needed.
They work best on traditional fibre ropes.
Heavy duty thimbles have extented protective material around their edges, and they are typically used in applications where dynamic loading are needed.
Thimble size need to mate the rope diameter, when you are using uncoated 1/4'' cable, use a 1/4'' thimble. When you use a 3/16'' vinyl coated able, you need to use 1/4'' timble.
